Passing of Jeffrey Phillips, Member of the Kinderland Maintenance Family
Posted: December 5, 2013 | By: Joey Perr | Category: Reports from Summer CampThe Kinderland Community mourns the loss of a special member of the Kinderland family, Jeffrey Phillips. Jeff was on the maintenance staff at Camp Kinderland starting in 2000 until this past summer. He worked hard to make sure that the Kinderland camp ground was secure, clean, and beautiful for our campers for more than a decade. He also enjoyed fishing and was an advocate of getting children involved in ice fishing, and helped to organize many local tournaments. He loved sports and football, a Patriots and Red Sox fan, and enjoyed playing Cribbage and Scat. Camp Kinderland sends its deepest condolences to Jeff’s family. He is survived by two sisters and four brothers, one of which is Scott “Bucky” Phillips, another long time maintenance staff member at Camp Kinderland.
Contributions in Jeffrey’s honor can be sent to HospiceCare in the Berkshires and condolences to the family can be sent to Scott Phillips at 318 Johnson Rd, Dalton, MA 01226.
